GUYOT environnement is a waste treatment company based in Brittany. The company recycles raw materials and transforms non-recyclable waste into fuel, in order to produce the energy of tomorrow.

For the company, the preservation of the environment is an essential value that led it to sponsor sailing. For many years now, GUYOT environment has been supporting this sport.

In 2022, GUYOT environnement decided to embark on the IMOCA Globe Series adventure together with young French skipper Benjamin Dutreux and to sponsor his campaign and foiling boat with the aim to perform in the Vendée Globe 2024/2025.

Although The Ocean Race 2022-23 was not initially part of GUYOT environnement’s sponsorship strategy, the company has been won over by this European project which will raise its profile on the international stage and particularly in Spain, where its Spanish entity, Hirumet, is based.

“Benjamin presented us with this intelligent project, which will allow him to clock up many miles, relying on a high-performance European team. It is a very good experience for him before the Vendée Globe! Also, the start of The Ocean Race takes place in Alicante, which is an opportunity for us to invite our employees from our Bilbao-based agency Hirumet and our Spanish clients to join this adventure”, comments Erwan Guyot, President of GUYOT environnement.
